I love Mirchi. Discovered it totally by accident, but what a find. Where can you get delicious Butter Chicken with salad and rice and naan included for ten dollars? The place is quite small and I'd advise reservations. Service is personal (owners) and friendly. You can get your curry heat in Hot, Medium, Mild and what I call

I frequently go out of my way to to to Mirchi's. Everything is made from scratch on the premises so I know it's going to have great flavour. I've tried lots on the menu, but my favourite is the butter chicken with their homeade naan. Great prices, and the staff seem to really care about their patrons. I'm sure any billing errors could be corrected if brought to their attention, and I've never had an error.

Mirchi is fantastic!!! I was first exposed to Indian food in the UK, where they love the stuff. Mirchi is the closest I've had to anything matching the taste of the restaurants in Britain. And the prices are so reasonable! 3 of us packed ourselves full for $40.00!!!! Definitely go for the Butter chicken. They do this classic dish to perfection. Also anything with chick peas will dazzle your taste buds!

Oh, and to Virgin you must be a credit card Virgin. Get a receipt next time.

Finger lickin' goodness!! My oh my, what a delicious experience! I'm not from the Marpole area, but I can say with confidence that stopping in for Mirchi's mouth-watering $5.95 lunch specials was well worth the extra travel! There's something so quaint and homely about this eatery. I felt like I was stepping back into my mother's kitchen! The delicious aromas of curry powders and traditional spices mingled with the refreshing scent of herbs, is almost enough to make one want to jump behind the counter and bear-hug the exquisitely talented chef (believe me, I was tempted!) Overall, an excellent place for fine dining, and incredibly affordable prices. A must-visit for sure!

Being a french Chef for the past 25 years, i can appreciate and detect real fresh quality food. In all my years in the industry, I conclude with out a doubt that Joe is a passionate and a high qualified Chef. A winning combination??? I would defenatly say so. This couple work as a team to create Fine dishes with a great friendly service, in a simple yet cozy atmosphere. But hey, don't take my word for It, Just get down there and taste for your self.

My partner and I have dinner at Mirchi about once a week. The only place I've had comparable food was at Mother India in Glasgow, and that cost a heck of a lot more (not even counting airfare). I have always been extremely impressed with the care that Parveen and Joe take with presentation. Your plate arrives already charged with perfectly-prepared rice and a moderate-sized salad with delicious dressing. When your entrees follow (perfect sizes for sharing) you'll be impressed with the portions, flavor and fantastic aroma.

There is one thing that none of these reviews have mentioned yet quality. Joe and Parveen understand that no matter how delicious the butter chicken sauce is, if you bite into a piece of meat and there's something there that should have been trimmed off, you'll leave unhappy. This would never happen at Mirchi.

Note to the individual who had their credit card overcharged Ummm. Mistakes happen get over it. If you took your receipt and bank statement into the restaurant and explained the error, they would help you out. I know it's fun to be angry, but really, defaming a family business for a simple mistake is inappropriate.

This Indian Restaurant is by far the best I have been to. Not only is the food incredibly, but the service and the atmosphere is top notch as well. The husband and wife team are super friendly. We live in the neighbourhood and will return in the near future again. You will not be dispointed!

I am a resident of Milan, Italy. I was recently travelling in Vancouver and decided to stop off for lunch at Mirchi's. I ordered a large platter of assorted entrees. The food was mouth-wateringly delicious! The service provided by lovely hostess was very hospitable and I was extremely satisfied with the price, ambiance and overall taste of this fine cuisine! Will definately return when I come back to Vancouver, B.C.

Had lunch at Mirchi today, and loved it. Husband & wife cooking & serving, incredibly friendly and pleasant! Pricing was fantastic $6 for full lunch special incl salad, rice, bread. Naan bread was one of the best i've had. freshly cooked (toasted? fried?) limited lunch menu was plenty - 7-8 dishes to pick from, lots of vegetarian options. Want to return for dinner! only seating for about 12-15 people!

I found out that I got charged for more than I signed up for, which really annoyed the hell out of me. I have reported it to my credit card provider hoping for some action against this merchant. Eat there at your own RISK.. and don't use your credit card.

If you really care about great indian food.. here are some options
Saffron and Bombay Bhel in Burnaby, and Tandoori King in Vancouver are awesome. For south indian food, Nooru Mahal and House of Dosas are pretty good.

Wonderful Indian! Big portions come with rice AND naan. Love the coconut prawn curry and butter chicken.

It is unfortunate that I was only visiting Vancouver when I discovered this clean, colorful and tasty resturaunt. If I were a resident of Vancouver my wife and I would frequent this establishment at least once a week. On our one visit the food was delicious served on colorful plates. THe owner and his wife both cook and serve the food. You can watch and smell the owner cook in his kitchen not to far from where you are dining. A five star resturaunt.

The Restaurant is under new ownership as of December 2005 and the food is excellent! Very friendly staff and generous portions of food!
